Our Founder Stefan Truthän

CEO & STRATEGIC LEADER IN PUBLIC SAFETY INNOVATION Stefan puts all his knowledge at the service of making the world safer. To this end, he uses his broad knowledge and ability to analyze constraints and conflicting interests to identify ways in which this could be achieved.
Stefan has spent over 25 years at the forefront of fire protection and public safety—initially as Chief Organisational Architect at hhpberlin, and later serving as its Managing Partner and CEO. He championed digital transformation, introducing cloud-first strategies and lean organizational models (e.g. LOAZ) long before „New Work“ became mainstream.
Under his leadership, hhpberlin grew into a strong engineering firm supporting major infrastructure projects—from Berlin’s BER Airport to the Tesla Gigafactory—while saving millions through smarter cash-flow management systems.
Now, as a driving force behind Catonka Investment, Stefan combines his deep expertise in Intellectual Property & Private Equity to back next-generation tech in public safety. He currently serves on high-level advisory boards such as the German Rescue Robotics Center, INTERSCHUTZ, vfdb, IAFC, and FDIC, while volunteering with the Berlin Fire & Rescue Service to shape the future of global safety.
